An Extra hour with you

It is a rainy autumn morning this Sunday morning as we turn clocks back with an extra hour to spend quietly before going off to church.  This gives me some extra time to read some scripture, to meditate to drink some coffee and to prepare my heart and mind for the hours to come at church worshipping God.   

Our church community is going through so much as we continue to grow now that the building project is complete and people seem to be pouring into our doors.  This project has produced both excitement and stress.  We as a church community are being stretched.  We are being stretched to care for people.  I believe God needs to give us a spirit of the service so that we can care for the needs of those new people coming to our church.  Lord, please give us the strength and courage to do this work

We are also being stretched to believe that god will provide for our financial me at this church.  The budget of the church will be going up dramatically this next year and it will produce fear year in many people.  Lord, please enable us to trust.

Thank you Lord, for an extra hour this morning to spend with you.

    Amen. Been there, done that. It is a scarey place for a church. Peace to you all.
    Not to detract from that, but on the Blogdom of God community page, your post cuts off at: “…to meditate,to drink…”
    I had to stop in to see if you were okay! lol
