Dease Denounced Coulter

Reverand Dennis Dease the President of the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul Mn (my Alma mature) denounced Ann Coulter for her speech at the college.

Compete story here

Basically we can’t call a spade a spade.

When the views of people of good will are continually disregarded in the public square their rhetoric and actions will start to heat up.  A warning to the wise, take conservative seriously and hear their grievances.

As I look at downtown Minneapolis I see that St. Thomas University campuses are popping up all over the place.  This expansion must be costing tens or hundreds of millions of dollars.  Has St. Thomas gotten too entwined with the lust for things of this world and missed the point on the things that really matter?

Yes, Ann Coulter is a bit edgy, but is the content true?

About waynem

As a Minnesota based photographer and artist I have been greatly influenced by the Upper Midwest. I focus my skills and energies on portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, architectural and fine art work. My best work comes from images first painted in my mind. I mull over a prospective image for weeks or months, seeing it from different angles and perspectives, then finally deciding what to capture. The result is images that deeply touch people's emotions and powerfully evoke memories and dreams. My images are used commercially by companies and organizations ranging from Financial Services firms, mom and pop Ice Cream shops and The Basilica of St Mary to communicate their shared vision and values. Book and magazine publishers have featured my images on their covers. My photographs also grace and enhance the decor of many fine homes.

Coulter called Ted Kennedy a “human dirigible” and Barbara Boxer “learning-disabled.”
…explain how such talk doesn’t evince “a disrespect for persons and their sincerely held beliefs”, as Father Dease says? Just whose content speaks to the truth? Let’s call a spade a spade, and not couch hate in terminology of she “is a bit edgy”.

    Eli,
You are of course correct; to say that Kennedy was “human” was way out of line.
Get a sense of humor man!
