The plan making process continues to progress for my trip to “war torn” New Orleans. If you recall from a previous post, I will be leading a group from my church as we go down to New Orleans to help serve the poorest of the poor to attempt to help the people of this ravaged area get back on their feet. We will be working with John Gerhardt of Urban Impact and Castle Rock Community Church in their recovery efforts.
The trip will be from February 4th through the 12th. We will be driving some vans down there in an effort to get the best bang for our transportation buck. Driving the vans will take us two days to get down to New Orleans.
We currently have nineteen people signed up for the trip and I know there are a few more who are still considering it. I am greatly encouraged by this awesome response. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!
We still need to get some people lined up to fill certain key roles; you know like transportation coordinator, or housing coordinator. I hope to get those people in place in the next week.
I would greatly appreciate your prayers for wisdom and energy for me personally while leading this effort. Also please pray for all the right people to come along and for unity in the group and also safety for all the team. Thank you in advance for your prayers.

About waynem
As a Minnesota based photographer and artist I have been greatly influenced by the Upper Midwest. I focus my skills and energies on portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, architectural and fine art work.
My best work comes from images first painted in my mind. I mull over a prospective image for weeks or months, seeing it from different angles and perspectives, then finally deciding what to capture. The result is images that deeply touch people's emotions and powerfully evoke memories and dreams.
My images are used commercially by companies and organizations ranging from Financial Services firms, mom and pop Ice Cream shops and The Basilica of St Mary to communicate their shared vision and values. Book and magazine publishers have featured my images on their covers. My photographs also grace and enhance the decor of many fine homes.
