Since the nomination of Judge John Roberts, Jr., to the Supreme Court of the United States, the ACLJ has fought intensely to counter vicious attacks … research the law … call for a swift and fair hearing … and inform concerned citizens – like you – of the latest news.
All of this and more – because we firmly believe Judge Roberts will be a Chief Justice who will uphold the Constitution and the rule of law.
Now, as the hearings are underway, we will not back down. That is why I ask you to give a secure, online donation today to help us uphold your religious freedoms and constitutional liberties throughout this historic process.
I’m in Washington, D.C., along with several ACLJ attorneys and staff to stay on top of this critical battle – and to air Jay Sekulow Live! every day from our studio directly across the street from the high court.
I want you to have access to the latest information and be able to get involved whenever necessary.
Please understand: This hearing is not a ”done deal”! In fact, organizations like People For the American Way (PFAW) and Americans United for Separation of Church and State (AU) continue to throw out disparaging reports and false information to discredit Judge Roberts.
Here’s the latest barrage of comments from the opposition:
”Americans deserve a Chief Justice who seeks to protect, not undermine, the handiwork of our Founding Fathers.”
”Roberts’s record makes him the wrong choice for the position of Chief Justice. We will vigorously oppose his confirmation.”
This type of bashing requires us to stay on guard … ready to counter any last ditch efforts by these activist groups to smear Judge John Roberts’s good name and impeccable record!
As I mentioned before – of all the work we are doing to see Judge Roberts confirmed, there is none more important, perhaps, than our efforts to call for a fair hearing. As we have maintained from the beginning, it is inappropriate to ask a nominee how he or she will vote on a particular subject. However, we expect a considerable amount of questioning on the issue of abortion.
We are distributing legal memorandums to the staff of Senate Judiciary Committee members – and will continue to work closely with them to ensure that John Roberts is swiftly confirmed as Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
Don’t delay. The hearings are underway – and our very rights and freedoms hang in the balance.
Thank you.
With Republicans in firm control of the Senate, how can Roberts not get a “fair” hearing. His confirmation is all but assured. The Dems will do some posturing but it will have no effect on the outcome.
You have more confidence in our Republican senate than I do.
The MSM is incredibly powerful yet and the process will be very messy I believe.
