Since the nomination of Judge John Roberts, Jr., to the Supreme Court of the United States, the ACLJ has fought intensely to counter vicious attacks … research the law … call for a swift and fair hearing … and inform concerned citizens – like you – of the latest news.

As I mentioned before – of all the work we are doing to see Judge Roberts confirmed, there is none more important, perhaps, than our efforts to call for a fair hearing.  As we have maintained from the beginning, it is inappropriate to ask a nominee how he or she will vote on a particular subject.  However, we expect a considerable amount of questioning on the issue of abortion. 

We are distributing legal memorandums to the staff of Senate Judiciary Committee members – and will continue to work closely with them to ensure that John Roberts is swiftly confirmed as Chief Justice of the United States Supreme Court.
