Put the Glass Down

A lecturer was giving a lecture to his students on stress management.

He raised a glass of water and asked the audience, "How heavy do you think this glass of water is?"

The students’ answers ranged from 300 gm. to 500gm.

"It does not matter on the absolute weight. It depends on how long we hold it.

If we hold it for a minute, it is OK.

If we hold it for an hour, we will have an ache in our right arm.

If we hold it for a day, we will have to call an ambulance.

It is the exact same weight, but the longer we hold it, the heavier it becomes."

"What we have to do is to put the glass down, rest for a while before holding it up again." We have to put down the burden periodically, so that we can be refreshed and are able to carry on.

IN A NUTSHELL

So before we return home from work tonight, let us put the burden of work down. Let us not carry it back home.
Life is beautiful. Let us work & let us also enjoy the life

About waynem

As a Minnesota based photographer and artist I have been greatly influenced by the Upper Midwest. I focus my skills and energies on portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, architectural and fine art work. My best work comes from images first painted in my mind. I mull over a prospective image for weeks or months, seeing it from different angles and perspectives, then finally deciding what to capture. The result is images that deeply touch people's emotions and powerfully evoke memories and dreams. My images are used commercially by companies and organizations ranging from Financial Services firms, mom and pop Ice Cream shops and The Basilica of St Mary to communicate their shared vision and values. Book and magazine publishers have featured my images on their covers. My photographs also grace and enhance the decor of many fine homes.
