I gave my notice at work today! I am resigning. There were a few moments of trepidation, but all in all I think it went very well. I am back to the world of self employment as a computer consultant.
I have been having these thoughts of going back to the world of working independently for quite some time now. It is almost like that is how God made me or that is my quest. I am enough of a free spirit that I can not stay pent up in one company for too long. Freedom was calling me.
I will be providing leadership in the design and development of a new software system using tools that I have wanted to use for a long time. I am actually excited and looking forward to this new opportunity. It has been quite a while since I have been excited about work.
You know what all this means though? I will have less time for blogging. At least at the beginning of the project as things get kicked off. So bare with me and I promise I will do my best.

About waynem
As a Minnesota based photographer and artist I have been greatly influenced by the Upper Midwest. I focus my skills and energies on portraits, landscapes, cityscapes, architectural and fine art work.
My best work comes from images first painted in my mind. I mull over a prospective image for weeks or months, seeing it from different angles and perspectives, then finally deciding what to capture. The result is images that deeply touch people's emotions and powerfully evoke memories and dreams.
My images are used commercially by companies and organizations ranging from Financial Services firms, mom and pop Ice Cream shops and The Basilica of St Mary to communicate their shared vision and values. Book and magazine publishers have featured my images on their covers. My photographs also grace and enhance the decor of many fine homes.
Wayne, my prayers are with you in this exciting new adventure!
