Saturday, February 12, 2005Dobson beyond Sponge Bob, onto the next fight
James Dobson sure does not let a little controversy slow him down. Granted it was made up controversy but what the heck when you are out to destroy someone you can say anything and get away with it.
Anyway, he is off the Schiavo fight and God bless him for it. He is totally consistent with his views that all life is sacred. Even if caring for a person is difficult we must still stand as a society for maintaining that life.
Keep up the great work Dr. Dobson!

Homosexuals honoring Catholic lawmakers: What's up with that?
Why would a homosexual advocacy group be honoring Catholic lawmakers? Could it because the lawmakers are not really adhering to anything that could be construed as being Catholic?
Oh of course, these lawmakers are supporting gay marriage, I see. So where in scripture to they find real support for gay marriage? Why call yourself Catholic if you don't support any of the views of the Catholic church?

Alabama lawmaker offers $5000 to prove Bible defines Marriag male/female
It looks like state Rep. Alvin Holmes, D-Montgomery from Alabama is willing to put his money where is mouth is. Complete story Or maybe not. He is being deluged by calls showing him clear proof from scripture how marriage is defined. Now he is trying to worm his way out of the offer. He does not want to take what scripture clearly says.
Scripture is very clear!

Friday, February 11, 2005 STOCKHOLM, Sweden — A Swedish pastor convicted of hate crimes for a sermon denouncing homosexuals as a "cancer" was acquitted Friday by an appeals court that said he was protected by the country's free speech laws.
The Goeta Appeals Court said that while Aake Green's (search) views of gays can be "strongly questioned," it was not illegal to offer a personal interpretation of the Bible and urge others to follow it. Complete story...

It appears that some in congress are moving closer to a sensible immigration policy whereby people would have to prove that they are indeed legally in this country and they are able to work.
I think our legislature is finally realizing that we the average American is very concerned with the number of illegals that we having living in our country. It is time to think seriously about this problem. It is costing us millions for education and medical expenses for these people.
This is not a racial issue. If we need all these people to do work here, increase the quotas of people that can come here and get them here legally. Allow them to work and then pay their fair share. I know it seems pretty simple. But I am just a simple minded conservative.

Sources close to Al Franken say he intends to run for the Senate seat that will be vacated my Mark Dayton. As we know Al Franken is a radio talk show host, author and comedian. So, are we to see this as a joke? Will it be a bigger joke than Mark Dayton's term in office? Is the Democratic party becoming a joke?
Time will tell.

He called it ''a tremendous honor to serve Minnesota in the past four years.’’ He said he wanted to keep the seat in Democratic hands and said he cannot do the necessary fundraising to run an effective campaign.

Same-Sex ‘Marriage’ in Canada
BreakPoint with Charles Colson February 8, 2005
With activists demanding the right to marry and bringing court cases against jurisdictions that forbid same-sex “marriage,” you’d think there was a huge pent-up demand among gays and lesbians to marry. Well, while there certainly is some demand, it’s probably not nearly as big as the activists want us to think.

So what is Baptism all about?
We were involved in an interesting situation this past weekend. You see, my wife and I were both raised in the Catholic tradition. Our families are still active in that faith and I would consider us both pretty knowledgeable about the faith. We send our kids to Catholic school, but the Church we goto is a “Bible Preaching” more conservative Evangelical church (http://www.ssefc.org/). We were asked to be the Godparents of my sister’s new child. They are very active in a conservative Catholic church (http://www.hfcmn.org/).
