02/26/2005: "More banning of religion"

If you are going to allow prayer, then you have to allow all prayer, don't you? That means children will have to listen to others as they pray a Muslim prayer or a Wiccan prayer (or whatever their mode of worship is, such as slaughtering animals, to use an extreme). And let's not forget Hinduism, Budduism and Animism, and whatever wierd religion comes down the pike. They would have a constitutional right to do the same. Otherwise they could claim discrimination as well. Of course, I am sure you would say that is not discrimination, because those religions did not make "this country great", but you are wrong...it is precisely religious freedom, not one particular religion, that makes this country great. You can beleive it is YOUR religion that makes it great, but that, my friend, is to be expected from you.

If we are going to go that far, I would agree. Let's us get out of the business of public education all together. If we can agree that we want an educated populace which I think we can agree we all do, then collect taxes for that and then give the parents an allowance for each child to send them where every they want. Then prayer in school whould not be a problem at all.

BTW, you are correct I would say that Christianity is indeed what has made this country great. Why are all the Muslims and Buddists and Hindus and Animist coming here? Because there faith and culture have destroyed their countries.
I have no problem at all saying one culture and Faith is better than another.
