Colson's supposed call for truth is nothing but a shill whack at liberals like Michael Moore and CBS news. Yet he offers no proof of these accusations. He is full of bullshit. ----------------------
It is impossible for someone to lie unless he thinks he knows the truth.
The bullshit artist, on the other hand, cares nothing for truth or falsehood. The only thing that matters to him is getting away with what he says. An advertiser or a politician or blogger given to bullshit does not reject the authority of the truth, as the liar does, and oppose himself to it. He pays no attention to it at all.
This puts one in danger of rejecting the possibility of knowing how things truly are.
It follows that any form of political argument or intellectual analysis or commercial appeal is only as legitimate, and true, as it is persuasive. There is no other court of appeal.
Liberally quoted from the New York Times, Feb 14 2005. An article about the author Harry G. Frankfurt, and his book "On Bullshit".
“Never tell a lie when you can bullshit your way through.”
That is the sine qua non of the Republican party, and of these so-called Christian bloggers and politicians.
