I suppose all of you have already seen the Luther movie. Well if you are a little slow like we are and you have not seen it go out and rent it.
It is a very good movie, and the best thing is, I laughed, I cried and I learned something. I did not know there was such a huge purge of the Church by violent means during Luther’ time. He may have been responsible in some ways for this violence yet at the same time he opposed it. As I watched I was struck with how the spiritual forces of evil must have been very active in the events that were described in the movie. I can think of nothing else to cause such incredible violence.
You may also see a familiar face in the movie. Does Alfred Molina ring a bell? He was the bad guy in the last Spiderman movie. I could not place him at first. I needed the insight of my kids to figure that one out.
